A lightweight replacement FPV camera side plate set designed for the Volador VX 3 and VX 3.5 frames.

This model was created to significantly reduce front-end weight while keeping the camera securely mounted and fully protected.

The complete printed pair weighs only 2.44g, compared to the original stock frame plates which weigh around 6g for the pair.

That means a weight saving of over 3.5g.

The design keeps the original mounting geometry, so installation is very simple.

• Why I made this

• The main goal of this design was to save every possible gram on the build.
• The original Volador camera side plates are durable, but at 6g for the pair, they add unnecessary weight to the front of the quad.
• By redesigning them as a lightweight printed replacement, I was able to reduce the total weight to just 2.44g, saving over 3.5g without sacrificing fitment or camera stability.
• The purpose behind this weight reduction was simple: to free up enough weight budget for mounting an additional action camera while still staying below the 250g limit.

• For sub250 freestyle and cinematic builds, every gram matters, and this upgrade helps maximize performance while keeping the setup legal and efficient.
