SS Crucifix Bust –from Polizzi Generosa (Sicily)

This multi-part bust is inspired by the historic SS Crucifix of Polizzi Generosa, a small Sicilian town rich in sacred art and tradition. 

The model depicts Christ with closed, suffering eyes, crowned with thorns and framed by a large 19th‑century style halo plate for a solemn, devotional look.

I designed the bust in separate pieces so you can easily print it in multi‑color or with different filaments: a wooden‑look base later painted gold, a matte white face to highlight the expression, a black crown of thorns, and a golden halo plate for a strong visual contrast. 

For best results, take extra care when removing the supports around the crown of thorns, as the thin spikes are delicate and can break if handled roughly.

Perfect for FDM printers, devotional displays, or as a unique artistic piece inspired by Sicilian religious heritage.
