Description

Overview

Small details. High risk if you rush it.

This is a 3D-printable statue of Saint Lucy, designed for home prayer spaces, shelves, desks, or display areas. The model keeps clean geometry while preserving her traditional symbolism, making it printable without turning delicate features into guaranteed failures.

If you’re adding saints with strong visual identity, this one stands out immediately.

History of the Object

St. Lucia of Syracuse (c. 283–304) was an early Christian martyr known for her unwavering faith during persecution. Her name comes from the Latin word lux, meaning light.

She is most commonly depicted holding a dish with her eyes, a symbol tied to traditions about her martyrdom and her association with vision and light.

What People Traditionally Keep This Statue For

People commonly place a St. Lucia statue in their home for prayer or reflection related to:

  • Protection of eyesight and vision
  • Clarity in difficult decisions
  • Light during dark or uncertain times
  • Strength during persecution or hardship
  • Guidance toward truth and understanding

For many, the statue represents clarity both physical and spiritual.

Supports & Removal Notes

  • Fine details may include hands, facial features, and the tray with eyes
  • The tray and its contents are the most fragile elements
  • Supports may be required depending on orientation
  • Remove supports slowly and carefully, especially around the tray and fingers
  • Do not twist supports off near thin features

If you rush this one, you will break the tray.

Scaling & Strength

  • Upscaling (125–200%) significantly improves durability of the tray and small details
  • Larger prints produce thicker supports for fragile elements
  • Very small prints increase failure risk dramatically
  • If printing for display, go larger for reliability

This is not a model to print tiny.

Important Notes

  • Decorative and devotional use only
  • Not designed for functional or load-bearing use
  • Not intended for outdoor exposure
  • Handle carefully after printing, especially around the tray

Usage & Licensing Disclaimer

  • Free to print for personal use
  • Selling physical prints or making a profit requires a commercial license
  • Redistribution or resale of the digital file is not permitted

Print it carefully. Use it respectfully.
