This model is a practical bench vise with dimensions: 115*125*50mm, clamping range 0-65mm, clamping width 50mm, bottom clamp fits tabletops within 38mm (without clamping pads, it can clamp tabletops up to 50mm)

The size is larger than the previously released (small bench vise) and suitable for users who need a larger bench vise

It features easy and fast printing, no supports, sturdy and smooth, and no hardware required

Features:

  • Print with no supports, 5-hour printing time, 180g filament consumption
  • Dimensions: 115*125*50mm, clamping range 0-65mm, clamping width 50mm, bottom clamp fits tabletops within 38mm (without clamping pads, it can clamp tabletops up to 50mm)
  • Main bolt designed for horizontal printing, split handle design, sturdy, smooth, not easily broken
  • The lower clamping pad innovatively uses small bolts for fixing, eliminating the flaws of snap-fit assembly
  • Replaceable clamping pad design, snap-fit limit, TPU can be used for printing to achieve a more stable effect
  • Overall well-proportioned, beautiful appearance, inheriting the look of the small bench vise while increasing its volume and providing design space for better details and strength You can confidently try it!

Assembly Notes:

  • Use a flathead screwdriver, or print a small card as a substitute
  • The main shaft and handle use an interference fit + small bolts, press them in, and tighten the bolts
  • For the lower clamping pad, screw it in by hand, and you can tilt the screwdriver to secure it
  • The two clamping pads are identical, one side of the dovetail groove has a notch, insert from the notched direction (if you encounter resistance during insertion, check if the installation direction is from the notch)

*If your application requires significant clamping force, you can lightly lubricate the main bolt

*If the clamping pads are too tight, I gently tap them for disassembly

  • If you need a smaller, lighter small bench vise

I put it in my toolbox and twisted the handle hard. It’s strong enough for cutting light wood.

A really useful vise 👌I printed jaws made of TPU for it, as well as the clamp screw and a support plate made of TPU - this thing holds incredibly well 👍👍👍

What a fantastic design for a useful and very functional vise. I found that the parts were very easy to print and assembled easily. The screws turned smoothly without friction or need for lubrication. I like that there is no need for additional hardware. I printed the main parts in PETG and the pads in TPU and after testing it out I found that it holds tight and I can apply a great amount of pressure. Because of the way my workbench is setup I can't work at either of the ends which means when cutting material I would be doing it directly over my workbench which is a bad idea because of the potential for damage to my workbench. Would you be interested in creating a version of this vise that has a rotating base which would provide clamping perpendicular to the workbench enabling clearance for cutting.? The picture I provided is of a different type of vise but it's an example of how a rotating base could work. Anyway fantastic vise and thank you so much for sharing it.

感谢你们的这个项目。来自德国的问候。 I hope, AI has correctly written it as "Thank you for this project. Greetings from Germany" :D. For this vise, I used my leftover PLA-CF, used 5 walls, around 35% infill and for the critical areas, I bumped it up to 50%. Only the white parts are TPU 95A from Overture. Works really well and can withstand a good amount of forces. Despite the CF parts, it opens and closes really smoothly.
