3D Miniature Stadion an der Hafenstraße
Model Information:
The stadium in northern Essen is home to Rot-Weiss Essen (RWE). "Hafenstraße" is not just an address in German football, but a true legend.
- English Style (Single Tier): The compact design is crucial for your 3D model. The stadium is completely enclosed, the stands are single-tiered and built extremely close to the pitch. There is no distracting running track, which results in a wonderfully dense, rectangular box shape for model building.
- The Legendary West Stand: The emotional center of the stadium is the large standing-room only tribune in the west. This is where the heart of RWE beats. It holds thousands of fans and is known for its deafening volume and impressive choreographies.
- Red and White: Inside, the club colors clearly dominate. Red seats with white lettering characterize the appearance of the opposite stand and main tribune. A dream for anyone who likes to work with filament changes on the top layers when 3D printing!
- The Hafenstraße Myth: The new stadium was built in 2012 directly next to the old Georg-Melches-Stadion (of which an old floodlight mast still stands as a monument). It transports the spirit of RWE legends like Helmut Rahn ("The Boss") into modernity.
- Ruhrpott Charm: The architecture dispenses with unnecessary frills. Lots of concrete, visible steel beams in the roof area, and clear edges reflect the honest, direct working-class mentality of the Ruhr area.
