Description
Wanted to try silicone molds and needed a plate cover for the E1. Not an original idea but I like to do things to see if I can figure things out. I put both metric and imperial rules into the mold for fun and to see how well silicone transferred details. I used CA glue and activator to assemble the 4 sections together. then i put uv resin in small plastic bottle with a needle tip and sealed the seams. I went a step further and sanded them flat as I could. I used 30A BBdino Kit on amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0966H25Z8?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_5&=&crid=ULK8NUI8QN1C&sprefix=bbdin&th=1
I designed the mold to use 1500ml of the silicone total. just measure 750ml of each part and mix together. It says that this formula is self gassing but I bought a vac chamber to try and a lot of bubbles came out, so I'm glad I did it. I don't have anything for jig inserts as of yet but will be working on some soon so stay tuned! PS no nosey cat included

This one took me down a road I never expected. Modeling scale rules truly was interesting. If you throw me a boost on this one, I'd really appreciate it!
