The stadium is located in the Owlerton district in Sheffield (South Yorkshire) and has been the iconic home of Sheffield Wednesday (the "Owls") since 1899

• The Archibald Leitch Facade: The absolute highlight for any 3D model is the old South Stand. It was designed by the legendary stadium architect Archibald Leitch. The historic gable in the center of the roof with the characteristic clock and club logo is a masterpiece of old English football architecture
• The Cantilever Roof (North Stand): When this stand was built in the 1960s, it was a true engineering marvel. It was one of the first stands in England with a huge cantilever roof without obstructive support pillars. In 3D printing, this massive overhang is a great challenge
• The Spion Kop: The massive East Stand is the traditional home of the loudest Wednesday fans. It was originally built into a natural hill, making it appear extremely massive and steep
• On the Banks of the River Don: The stadium is picturesquely located (and sometimes prone to flooding) directly on the River Don, which flows immediately behind the South Stand. A great detail when designing a base for the model
• Historical Significance: Hillsborough is inextricably linked to profound English football history. It hosted the 1966 World Cup and the 1996 European Championship and still breathes the unadorned, traditional British football spirit
