THE MODEL :

Merge the macabre with high-end elegance with this Baroque-inspired human skull mask. A true openwork sculpture, every anatomical detail is enhanced by intricate scrolls and carved acanthus leaf patterns. It is the ultimate accessory for themed masquerades, "Gothic Dandy" costumes, or to be displayed on a stand as a piece of Neo-Classical art. The matte black finish provides the mysterious depth of carved ebony.

Proven print settings :

• Material : Matte Black PLA (achieves an ancient bone or blackened metal finish).
• Infill : 10-15% (the scrollwork design provides great natural rigidity).
• Supports : Necessary for the inner skull vault and eye sockets.
• Nozzle : 0.4 mm.

Maker's Tip : For an "ancient relic" look, try a light dry brush with bone-colored or tarnished silver paint on the most prominent ridges. This will emphasize the depth of the Baroque details and give the piece an authentic historical feel.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
