Qidi Box Filament Retraction Fix Q2 Q2C Plus4 Max4
Print Profile(1)

Description
If your filament is not retracting properly (the spool doesn’t rotate) and instead unwinds inside the Qidi Box instead of going back onto the spool — this model fixes that problem.
This spacer reduces excessive pressure between the extruder gears by slightly spacing the motor from the front assembly. By loosening the mechanism, the clutch can work properly again, allowing the filament to move more freely. This improves retraction and prevents slipping or grinding.
🔧 Installation:
Place the spacer between the extruder motor and the front assembly.
📏 Sizing:
The default thickness is 7mm, which worked best for me. You can easily scale the model to fine-tune the pressure depending on your setup. You can also slightly lengthen the model for easier assembly, depending on your printer's tolerances.
🧱 Recommended materials:
ABS or ASA (for better heat resistance and durability)
