Description

Strong Utility Hook
3D-printable wall hook designed to handle heavier loads without bending or breaking. This design features a clean, modern profile with chamfered edges and a heavily reinforced triangular gusset. This gusset acts as a structural brace, effectively transferring weight directly to the lower mounting screw, making the hook both highly functional and visually appealing for modern spaces.

Material: PLA+, PETG, or ABS (PETG or PLA+ highly recommended for maximum durability, impact resistance, and weight capacity)

  • Layer Height: 0.20mm
  • Walls: 4 to 6 for maximum structural integrity (extra walls provide much more load-bearing strength than a higher infill percentage)
  • Infill: 25-40% (Gyroid or Cubic for omnidirectional strength)
  • Supports: None required
  • Orientation Tip: For the absolute strongest hook, rotate the model so it lays perfectly flat on its side on the build plate. This orientation ensures the FDM layer lines run perpendicular to the downward force of hanging objects, preventing the plastic from snapping under heavy weight. If you choose to print it standing completely upright, be sure to keep that brim turned on to keep it stable during printing, but keep in mind the maximum weight capacity will be significantly reduced!
