LN2 Cryovial Color Inserts for Nunc 1.8mL

These inserts provide a simple color-coding system for cryogenic samples stored in LN₂. They are designed to press into the top recess of the cap on the following cryovials:

• Thermo Scientific Nunc™ Biobanking and Cell Culture Cryogenic Tubes
• Catalog: 375418 / 375418PK
• Capacity: 1.8 mL
• Style: Round self-standing base

The inserts allow quick visual identification of samples without needing to write directly on the vial.

Two versions included

1. Small insert
   Easier to remove and reuse
   Can be inserted into vials already stored in LN₂
   Works better when ice buildup exists in the lid before inserting
2. Large insert
   Tighter fit
   Harder to remove
   Best inserted before freezing

Materials tested
These inserts have been successfully printed and used in a Mr. Frosty and LN2:

PLA
PETG
TPU
ABS
ASA
-PLA, PETG, ABS, and ASA allow pencil labeling if desired.

TPU – easiest to insert and remove, but cannot be labeled with pencil and requires a chemical-resistant marker.
