Description
The Simple Filament Holder (SFH), is a simple attachment for spools that allows for easy fixing of filament ends to their spool after use. The model has been stress tested for +30 Unique Materials and is compatible with All Tested Spools. The SFH reduces risk of filament breaking in tubes and removes the problem of bent filament ends from tedious fixing to built in spool-slots.
The design is my own work and has been rigorously tested to make sure tolerances are just right. The project started after a piece of filament broke off in my AMS, which created a lot of work that a SFH could have easily prevented.
Settings
The design works with most settings, but i found that PETG with 2 walls (0.4mm nozzle, 0.24 mm height, no detect thin wall) works gives the best results with my printer (P2S).
