Visually Impaired-Friendly 3D Printed Chinese Checkers (Universal Design) / Tactile 3D Printed Chinese Checkers (Universal Design)

Introduction This is a set of 3D printed Chinese Checkers created based on universal design principles, primarily to address the issue of traditional Chinese Checkers pieces easily shifting when touched. This design is suitable for shared use by visually impaired individuals, those with weaker hand stability, and the general public.

Design Features

• Hole-aligned Game Board: The game positions are designed with holes instead of traditional shallow depressions. The bases of the pieces can be securely inserted into the holes, making it easy for users to feel and confirm the board's situation by hand, effectively preventing pieces from tipping over or shifting due to accidental touch.
• Tactilely Identifiable Pieces: Chinese Checkers supports up to 6 players. To allow players to distinguish between different teams solely by touch, the tops of the pieces are designed with 6 geometric shapes that have distinct tactile differences:
  1. Solid cylinder
  2. Hollow cylinder
  3. Triangular prism
  4. Square prism
  5. Heart-shaped prism
  6. Star-shaped prism
