Description
This is a simple, low-profile guard channel for LED and RGB strips. Its slim shape makes it easy to conceal, making it ideal for indirect lighting. Because it has no diffuser, the full light output of the strip is preserved.
A key benefit of this design is the mechanical protection it provides for the strip’s contact area. This helps prevent the copper pads from tearing off under stress and damaging the strip. For improved durability, I recommend soldering to a double copper pad.
Double Copper pads: The strip is cut not on the given line, but in a way that maximizes the copper pad for one side. This might sacrifice one led, but helps with stability and reliability.
