*  (3/30/2026) Original release
****************************************************************

Follow the journey from a classic 36" micro HLG to a modern 48" mid-size DLG optimized for both 3D printing and laser cutting. In this project, I document the 3D-printed build, sharing the structure, techniques, and design ideas behind this lightweight and efficient glider.

🔧 What’s Featured in This Build

• 3D Printed with PLA and PAHT-CF
• Infill-based design with modifiers for user customization
• Self-aligning, interlocking design for easy assembly
• Optional 3mf files for multi-filament technology (with AMS, IDEX, tool-changer 3D printers)
• Lightweight carbon fiber spar for stiffness and performance
• Practical tips from dry fit to final assembly

📂 Free Downloads Include

• 3mf files with complete STL, modifier and print settings for one-click slice-and-print
• Full-size wing assembly plans
• Multimedia build log and a compact manual
• Ready-to-use resources for your own build

Whether you’re into DLGs, lightweight balsa build or 3D printed construction, this project shows how traditional materials meet modern fabrication.

If you enjoy RC gliders and DIY aircraft builds, consider subscribing for more designs, experiments, and flight tests!

***** Note ****************************************************************
* For PLA or other regular temperature filaments - use Japanese tissue
* For PAHT-CF or high temperature filaments - ok to use light weight shrink covering with iron
*
**************************************************************************
* This release is intended for experienced builders/pilots in building 3d printed rc gliders. Although not
* required, builder is recommended to have experience with Bambu Studio/Orca slicer and modifier.
*
* 3mf files are for Bambu Studio / Orca slicers. Conversion to other slicers is possible but not recommended
* See link on how to convert 3mf files between various slicers - https://youtu.be/eGpp3gJKsKE

if you use PLA, you need to use low temp covering … please refer to YouTube video for details.
