Description

Update: motor direct drive design, no need motor adaptor anymore

Thank you all for supporting my Airship crowdfunding project. Unfortunately, my one-year-old MacBook suddenly stopped working, so for now I can only use my iPad to edit this part of the documentation.

This model is part of the Airship stretch goals. It adds a battery pack, adjustable motor speed, and lighting controls. I’ve found that it actually works quite nicely as a night light. For my own version, I removed the motor and only kept the built-in hand crank, using both control knobs to adjust the brightness instead.

Those of you with a keen eye may have noticed that there’s a lot of flexibility here for your own creative setups. Not every electronic component listed is strictly necessary—you can also simply follow the wiring reference diagram provided below.

I’m still exploring whether I can create a proper assembly guide using the iPad. In the meantime, I’ve included the standard version of the instructions here (although I suspect most of you probably won’t even need them!).

If you run into any issues during assembly, feel free to message me anytime—I’m always here.

And if you have any wild or creative ideas, don’t hesitate to share them. I’d be more than happy to spend some extra time adding new features.

(Yes, I’ve heard the requests for additional weapons and tail fins 😁)

since my working MAC still down, I'll just free hand drawing the wire diagram

feel free to message me anytime if you couldn't get it working

KB002 is optional for a extra light under the main gear (yeah it looks cool)

Based on feedback, in some cases the main switch may require adhesive to stay securely in place.

it will require a little bit of force to push it all the way in
