Description
You've been keeping the poops for a while and don't know what to do with them? You cand make an abacus!
An abacus is a manual calculating tool used for basic arithmetic.
- It consists of a frame with rods or wires, each holding movable beads.
- Each rod represents a place value (units, tens, hundreds, etc.).
- Numbers are formed by sliding beads toward or away from a central bar.
- Calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) are done by systematically moving the beads.
It is one of the earliest computing devices and is still used for teaching math and mental calculation skills.
