Boost Me (for free)

Be my hero, boost me!

Here's a rework of my NaS project. I randomly got the idea of making it into a pinhole camera to address the light leak issues I was having.

This project uses m3 heat set inserts and m3 hex bolts. I believe I am using 6 and 8mm in this project, but it is not finalized - there's a few things I want to add to “complete it”, but it is currently  in a working state.

You will also need adhesive felt. This is used on the underside of the lid, covering the hole for the viewfinder/mask. Carefully cut a single slit along the entire length of the hole. From the bottom side, work one of the viewfinder/masks through the hole gently. Once you work it in a little, it should insert from the other side with little issue.

Film is loaded onto an empty spool, of if you have reloadables you can reverse the second spool.

The pinhole is made from a pop can, and I use electrical tape to tape it to the interior of the body.

When using the half frame mask, a half turn is required to advance the frame. With the heart and normal frame one full turn is required. I have not tested it with out a mask yet, but on my NaS project it was aprox 1.25 turns, so 1.5 would be best.

The mask guide should be super glued carefully into the recessed area. The same goes for the tripod mount. The tripod mount is optional, but if you decide to use it you need a 1/4" Female to 3/8" Male tripod adapter to use standard tripods with the camera.

I plan on testing double exposures with different masks on this to see what I can do. I also want to add some sort of a mechanism for a cable release shutter and maybe some sort of visual reference for the film advancing other than the knob… perhaps a ratcheting knob?
