Description

Update 05/04/26 - new profile added with thinner walls so quicker to print and uses less filament.

I've also since discovered that this design is compatible with the P2S and X1 series.

Sick of filament purge lines scattered everywhere? Want to tidy up your print area and pimp up your machine at the same time?! This vase connects to the Bambu P1S door and is handy for popping your purge lines in until you have the motivation to throw them in the bin. Yes you could just have a bin near your printer, but where is the fun in that??

There are a few design options available with two print profiles added. There are two vase shapes, one with handles and one without. There is also the option to connect a daisy flower. One print profile is for the vases with the flower, the other profile doesn't have the flower connector.

How to install:

  • Unscrew the door handle screws to remove the handle.
  • Slot the handle into the hole on the vase.
  • Screw the handle back onto the door.

The daisy has been designed so it slots onto the peg easily, therefore I recommend using superglue to keep it secure.

Please note I have tested this in Bambu PLA basic and matte. I have not tested with other filament types so cannot guarantee how well it fits. I am happy to make adjustments to the design if requested.

Great model and idea. This not only spruces up my workshop and printer, it also solves the problem of never quite knowing what to do with my purge lines and now I have a pretty way to store them away :) I decided to spruce up my print by adding some height-range based painting on my vase to limit the amount of filament swaps, but get some cool effect thanks to the geometry of the vase. I used multicolor 4-color silk filament for the accent lines, which has worked out great as it shows different colors at different angles.

By the way @bloominghandy - the model also fits the X1C door, which uses the same handle if you want to edit the title of the model to broaden the compatibility :)

saw this last night on Facebook and immediately went searching for it. I printed it overnight and added the flower this morning. I think this is so freaking cute, and adds a touch of femininity to this cold hard machine!! thank you for the design and for sharing!!

You need to unscrew the door handle and take it off the printer. Then slot the back of the door handle onto the front of the vase where the hole is.

ok I was just thinking maybe it doesn’t fit since I print it on silk filament and not regular. could that be the issue? I will probably tried it with regular.

Why does this profile print so well. there are nearly invisible layer lines across the whole contour.

Thank you so much! I used the variable layer height setting which helps smooth out the lines.
