Nissan Patrol G60/L60 Emblem Set - Fender & Bonnet Versions
This is a 3D-printable emblem set designed for the Nissan Patrol G60/L60 for replacing worn or missing badges.
VERSIONS:
FENDER Emblem (Side Badge):
- Features the same front-facing curve on the letters as the original
- Prints standing upright as the curved surfaces do not translate well when printing flat
- The model is 244mm long and thus positioned diagonally for 200x200mm print beds
- Each letter has a slight taper true to the original
- Uses the auto tree support and remove small overhangs off for a better quality
- A fine layer height (0.12mm recommended) for a smoother finish
FENDER Emblem - Flat Multicolour Version (Side Badge):
- Individual letters for multicolor without AMS
- A simplified version of the fender emblem with the curved surface removed for easier printing + ironing
- Prints flat side down for a cleaner top finish
- The model is 244mm long and thus positioned diagonally for 200x200mm print beds
- No supports required
- A fine layer height (0.12mm recommended) for a smoother finish
BONNET Emblem (Front Badge):
- Prints flat side down for the best surface finish
- The model is 260mm long - positioned diagonally for 200x200mm print beds
- Optional: Enable ironing for a smoother top surface
- A fine layer height (0.12mm recommended) for a smoother finish
- No supports required
MATERIALS:
If you plan to mount the emblem on a vehicle:
- PETG (Recommended): Better resistance to heat and sunlight. Less likely to soften when exposed to direct sunlight
- PLA: Easier to print with great detail, but can deform under heat from direct sunlight. Best suited for indoor use or display pieces.
INSTALLATION:
- Clean both surfaces (car and print) using Isopropyl alcohol and test fit it before applying the adhesive.
Recommended Attachment Methods:
- double-sided automotive tape (e.g. 3M VHB Tape) - best overall option
- Silicone adhesive - strong but removable
- Epoxy/super glue - permanent installation
Apply even pressure across the emblem after placement and wait several hours for the adhesive to set.
If you spray paint the emblem, finish it with a UV-resistant clear coat:
- Protects against sun damage and colour fading
- Extends the lifespan of the material (doesn't become brittle)
- Improves the surface finish (prevents the material from cracking)
- Protects against moisture and dirt
