Description

I designed this insert because I couldn’t find a suitable option for my saw. Hopefully, it helps others who are looking for a similar solution.

This is a one-piece print for maximum strength and simplicity, but it can be split into multiple parts if needed for smaller printers.

Tested on the DEWALT DWE7480 Compact Jobsite Table Saw, this insert can also be adapted to other compatible models. It features a tight, precise fit in the table opening to minimize tear-out and support cleaner cuts.

The design includes adjustable leveling set screws, a redesigned latch mechanism, and clear lock/unlock labeling for ease of use. An open slot is integrated for the riving knife, maintaining safety without compromising functionality.

Hardware Notes:

  • Uses M4 x 8mm screws for leveling (x4)
  • Uses M4 x 8mm screw for attaching the latch and knob (x1)
  • Option to reuse leveling set screws from the original DeWalt insert plate

Key Features:

  • 🔧 Zero-clearance design for cleaner cuts
  • 🎯 Tight fit in table insert opening
  • ⚙️ Adjustable leveling system
  • 🔒 Redesigned latch with lock/unlock labels
  • 🪚 Riving knife compatible (open slot design)

A practical upgrade for accuracy, safety, and ease of use.

any way you can make it in 2 pieces like this one? https://makerworld.com/en/models/1475208-zero-clearence-dewalt I've been looking for one that has the latch built in like this (in 2 pieces) but the only other i've seen uses screws which causes the plate to buldge out and not be flat in the middle.

Sure possible. Give me a couple days and then I will upload a new print profile or a new model if it doesn’t allow another print profile.

I think those 2 models are almost have identical insert from the picture online. But, I don't own 7485 so I can't test to make sure. However, if you can provide me the measurements, I can take a reasonable guess.

I would also be interested if it fits the 7485

If have a 7485 in hand, can you measure it and let me know the length and width, etc?

is there any way you could add the 2nd plate (knob and latch) to the version that supports the A1 printer?

I will do it later today. you should be able to print latch from the second plate of another print profile at the mean time.

thank you for adding the 2nd plate. However, now it says that neither model supports the A1 printer.

Are the knobs a bit tight? If they are, I can continue to optimize them
