Mictlantecuhtli Aztec Skull Bookend – Book Holder
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello everyone…
As has been happening for a while now, whenever we have a couple of free hours, my partner and I dedicate ourselves to 3D printing, trying to share our creations with all of you as much as possible…
That said, here is a new model:
This 3D bookend depicts Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of death, reinterpreted in a detailed and dramatic style.
Printed in PLA Matte white, the model highlights every engraving: from the feathered headdress to the armor elements and the skeletal face, creating a strong visual impact even without painting.
The model is designed as a functional bookend:
- The thin base (approx. 2 mm) slides under the books
- The weight of the books keeps the bookend stable
- The vertical structure holds the volumes in a perfectly aligned position
It is ideal for shelves, bookcases, or desks, combining aesthetics and practicality.
🏛️ Who is Mictlantecuhtli
Mictlantecuhtli was the lord of Mictlan, the underworld in Aztec mythology. He was often represented as a skeleton adorned with ritual symbols and plumage, embodying the cycle of life and death.
He was not seen merely as a dark figure, but as an essential part of the cosmic balance: he governed the destiny of souls after death and presided over the long journey in the afterlife.
I HOPE YOU LIKE THE MODEL
