Description
Do you have a BMW E36 where the hazard light switch is missing or damaged? This model is a perfect fit replacement for the original switch (tested on a 316i, but fits all E36 models with this switch type).
The special feature: You do not need an AMS (or other multicolor systems) to achieve a two-color result!
Features:
- Perfect Fit
- Smart Design: The white hazard triangle is printed separately. This saves time, filament changes, and makes printing accessible to everyone.
- Appearance: Inserting the triangle creates a cleaner look.
- Texture Tip: If you use a textured PEI plate, the front of the switch gets a great finish that matches the interior well.
Print Settings:
- Material: PLA would be used, I might change it to PETG so that the switch does not deform at warm temperatures.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.2mm for good detail reproduction.
Assembly Instructions:
- Print the main housing in Red.
- Print the triangle in White.
- Insert the white triangle into the recess of the red switch.
- Note: Depending on your printer's tolerance, a drop of superglue can help to permanently fix the triangle.
Simply clip the finished button onto your existing switch mechanism in the car.
