Description

Boost Me (for free)

If this model printed without destroying your sanity, throw it a boost. It helps spread the suffering to more makers and keeps the free designs coming.

Overview

Fully invisible… except for everything you can see.

This is a 3D-printable Invisible Man–inspired figure featuring the classic wrapped bandages, goggles, and coat silhouette. Designed for clean printing with a strong stance and recognizable shape without fragile, failure-prone details.

Perfect for shelves, desks, or completing a classic monster lineup.

History of the Character

The Invisible Man originates from H.G. Wells’ 1897 novel and became a staple of classic horror through early film adaptations. The character represents scientific ambition gone wrong trading visibility for power, and paying for it.

Because of this, the Invisible Man is associated with isolation, identity, and consequences of unchecked experimentation.

What People Typically Use This For

People commonly print and display this figure for:

  • Classic monster collections
  • Halloween decor
  • Desk or shelf display
  • Painting and finishing projects
  • Themed horror setups

It’s a display piece, not a toy.

Supports & Removal Notes

  • Fine details may include coat edges, bandage texture, hat brim, and goggles
  • Coat edges and hat brim are the most fragile areas
  • Supports may be required under coat overhangs depending on orientation
  • Remove supports slowly around edges and facial area
  • Do not flex thin coat edges to break supports free

Thin edges don’t bend they snap.

Scaling & Strength

  • Upscaling (125–200%) improves durability and edge strength
  • Larger prints enhance bandage texture and facial detail
  • Small prints increase fragility in coat and hat features
  • Ideal for painting at larger sizes

If you want detail to show, don’t go small.

Important Notes

  • Decorative use only
  • Not designed for rough handling
  • Not load-bearing
  • Not intended for outdoor use in standard PLA

Handle carefully after printing, especially around thin edges.
