✈️ Turn Your Gasb Two EDF Jet into a High-Efficiency Pusher Prop Aircraft
If you love the Gasb Two platform but want to move away from EDF (electric ducted fan) or turbine power, this conversion mod is exactly what you need. This simple yet effective modification replaces the two lower fuselage sections of the original model, allowing you to install a brushless pusher propeller setup instead.
No more short flight times or complex EDF ducting — just reliable, efficient, and powerful pusher propulsion.
🔧 What's Included – Two Replacement Parts
This mod consists of two 3D printed parts that directly replace the original lower fuselage sections:

Part 1 – Back of the Fuselage (Motor Mount Section) | This piece replaces the original EDF/turbine rear lower section. It features an integrated flat mounting surface designed to accommodate a standard brushless outrunner motor (mounting pattern compatible with typical X-mounts, e.g., 16×19 mm to 25×25 mm). The motor sits at the rear of the aircraft in a classic pusher configuration, keeping the center of gravity balanced and the propeller safely behind the airframe. |
Part 2 – Middle Fuselage | This component replaces the center fuselage section and performs two key functions: it provides additional airflow to the propeller arc (suitable for propellers up to 6-7 inches, depending on the engine chosen) and maintains smooth airflow at the rear, while preserving the structural integrity of the original design. |
🛠️ Why Make the Switch?
- Longer flight times – Propeller setups are significantly more efficient than EDFs on the same battery capacity
- Lower cost – Brushless motors and ESCs are more affordable and readily available than high-performance EDF units

📦 Recommended Hardware
- Motor: 2200–2800 kV brushless outrunner (suggested motors: A2212 2700KV with 6x4 propeller @3S; A2217 2300KV with 6x4 propeller @3S; Sunnysky X2216 2400KV with 6x4 propeller @4S). I generally buy on AliExpress
- Propeller: 5×4.5 to 7×4 pusher or standard prop (mount with the lettering facing forward for proper thrust direction)
- ESC: 30–40 A with BEC depending on motor choice
- Mounting: Use the included X-mount that comes with your motor; the printed part has recesses for M3x20 screws
🔨 Print & Assembly Tips
- Material: PLA or LW-PLA for lightweight builds; PETG or ABS for added durability
- Infill: 15–20% for structural parts
- Assembly: The parts are designed to fit perfectly with the original Gasb Two fuselage. In two pieces of this mod they are fixed to the rest of the original Gasb Two model with cyanoacrylate glue and with carbon tubes 3mm in diameter and 18mm in length
📌 Compatibility
This mod is designed for the Gasb Two original model by Carletto73 (available here). It replaces the stock lower fuselage sections — all other original parts remain unchanged.
