A raven design was requested a long time ago and I finally gave it a go. The most challenging part was to reduce supports since a bird has to look nice from all angles and I hope my solution is to your liking ♥
Assembly:
This design prints in 4 pieces to minimise support generation and keep as much details as possible: Body, Tail, Branch with Feet and Holder. Print all parts and assemble everything with a drop of glue. The multicolor version is recommended for multinozzel / toolhead printers like the H2D or H2C.
The Holder is the same, that I use for my customisable and hanging bookshelf signs ♥ I hope you like this modular solution. Slide the Branch onto the Holder and stick it between books!
Print Settings:
• 0.12mm layer height (or 0.16mm to save time, especially recommended for the multicolor branch)
• 5mm outer brim with 0.2mm gap (increase in size if needed)
• automatic tree supports + support blockers inside the bird body & tree branch (already included in the .3mf file). In case you can't use the .3mf file, here is where the support blockers should be. Your printer can bridge these regions easily and supports in this area are difficult to remove.
