Description

💀 The Graveborn Necromancer - Grimdark TTRPG Miniature

"Rise, and serve your new master."

The Graveborn Necromancer is a chilling addition to any grimdark fantasy collection or TTRPG campaign. This highly detailed model features a hooded master of the undead in tattered, layered robes, wielding a twisted staff crowned with multiple skulls. Standing atop a scenic base of excavated bones and skulls, this miniature serves as a definitive boss encounter or army leader.

Functional & High-Detail Design

This model is engineered to maximize visual impact on FDM printers. The deep folds in the robes, the intricate textures of the staff, and the chaotic skeletal base provide excellent Z-depth contrast. This ensures the model looks premium even before painting, capturing every grim detail of the necromantic arts.

📏 Scale & Build Options

  • Base Size: 32mm (Integrated scenic base with skull pile).
  • Format: Single-piece high-detail sculpture.
  • Compatibility: Ideal for classic fantasy, grimdark sci-fi, or deep dungeon wargames.

⚙️ Technical Printing & Slice Settings (Tested & Certified)

This configuration has been tested to ensure maximum detail retention for the fine textures of the robes and staff.

  • Layer Height: 0.08mm (Crucial for retaining fine surface details and robe folds).
  • Nozzle: 0.4mm.
  • Supports: Tree supports are required, especially for the staff and cloak.

🛠️ Post-Processing & Special Tools (Crucial Tips!)

While the model is robust, the support removal requires patience due to the intricate design.

  • Required Tools: Standard flush cut pliers and a hooked/pointed metal pick tool are essential for a clean finish.
  • ⚠️ Robes & Base (TRICKY AREA): Cleaning supports between the flowing robes and the scenic base is a bit complicated. Proceed slowly with the pick tool to avoid scratching the surface.
  • ⚠️ Staff (DANGER AREA): Use extreme caution when removing supports from the staff. It is a delicate focal point; use the hook tool to gently pry supports away from the skulls on top to prevent snapping the shaft.

Technical & Creative Note: This design is based on an AI generation that I have manually refined and tested on FDM prints to ensure printability and quality. The featured photo is of the actual physical print. I’ve included AI-colored renders only as a visual reference for those who wish to paint the miniature.

🛠️ Support the Process!

💡 What you see is what you get: Unlike many profiles that only upload digital renders of unprintable models, every single design here is fully test-printed, refined in Blender/Meshmixer, and optimized for FDM before release.

I spend hours tweaking geometries, custom supports, and wasting my own filament so that you can enjoy a flawless, hassle-free print on your first try.

If my test-printing hours saved your time and filament, feel free to keep my printers running and fuel the next project! Any support is greatly appreciated: paypal.me/mjrko84
