Boost Me (for free)

Liked my design? Consider giving me a boost. It helps me continue to design things that you might like or find useful. Kudos to you! :)

I like designing things, that's why a decided to make my own version of the dry pods for the AMS 2 Pro.

They do their job very well (the humidity in my AMS is around 10%).

Perks of my dry pods:

  • Tough - the mesh is dense, wich gives it strength, but it also allows air to circulate efficiently.

  • High Flow - these pods (only the big ones) have 4 tubes that run vertically inside - through those, more air can circulate inside the pods.

    * There is also a standard version of the pods - without these tubes.

  • Fine Mesh - the holes in the mesh are smaller than 1 mm, wich allows you to use finer silica beads.

*I'm currently using beads varying between 1-4 mm in size.

  • Easy Funnel - you can use the funnel to both fill the pods and drain them afterwards with ease

For the pods in the pictures I used high speed PETG from Rosa3D. They came out great using a Bambu PETG HF profile.

I am excited to see your prints and read your comments!:)

Have fun printing!

Rock Solid. Printed fantastic with clear PETG. Can’t wait to fill them up. Tomorrow 😂

no problem! I couldn’t really close the lid with the top on so they don’t have any tops on them. It’s OK.

Ok I have finally printed all of these, the center with hygrometer and rear pod is from the lattice model, but looks the closest to this one. I printed the large boxes one at a time as they do take a long time to print due the pattern. I just can't tie up my printer for 18 hours at one time. I printed the small side boxes together. They came out great and feel sturdy, and smooth.I used Elagoo Rapid PETG in Red with 255/70 temperature. I had to modify my nozzle storage rack to be able to see the hygrometer though. Things I really like is the smaller openings, but yet great airflow. Some models the holes or slots are just too big. They printed well without any issues. Thanks for your model.

I printed one to see how it came out. These take a long time to print, and I have tried many different models and some were not so good. It came out great actually it printed flawless and looks and fits great in the AMS 2pro. Do you have a pod for the center with a round hygrometer? It would be great to have one that matches. If not I'll print one from a similar model. I printed in Elagoo Rapid PETG with 255 nozzle and 70 bed temperatures.

I'm glad you liked the model. It came out great! Unfortunately, I dont have a pod with the round hygrometer hole yet, but I plan to add it later (one for the square hygrometer also).

Worked Great! Printed in PET black and had to do some small adjustment on the dovetails for the smaller ones, but everything fit together and the installation was very smooth. I started with about 21% humidity and it now down to around 15, so no running drying cycles overnight anymore. Well done design.

😇 Thank you very much for the boost and I'm glad they work great! Sorry to hear you had some problems with those dovetails. If you want to say what was the problem in your case - I'll be happy to modify them and update the print profile. Happy printing!

Not to worry, a little work with a needle file and they work fine. It was only the smaller, end boxes and the dovetail needed to be a little deeper. The filing was easy as it was just making the bottom a little deeper. Two minutes at most. The boxes are working very well and I do not have to use the drying function on the AMS with humidity around 8-10%. Great design, thanks.
