This 3D printable display represents the iconic Shanghai International Circuit, host of the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix 2026.
The track layout is famous for its unique shape inspired by the Chinese character “上” (shàng), meaning “above” or “ascend,” giving it a distinctive and recognizable design among F1 circuits.

The model incorporates visual elements inspired by the 2026 Formula 1 regulation changes, including a border along sections of the track where Straight Mode can be used, as well as markers indicating the Overtake Detection (OD) and Overtake Activation (OA) zones.

Designed as a clean and modern motorsport display piece, it highlights key track features while maintaining a minimal aesthetic. Perfect as a desk decoration, collectible, or gift for Formula 1 fans.

🎨 Multicolor Sector Design

The circuit layout is optimized for multicolor printing and highlights the three official F1 sectors:

🟡 Sector 1
🔴 Sector 2
🔵 Sector 3

This color separation improves readability and gives the model a bold motorsport-inspired appearance.

🏎️ Race Markers

To make the display more informative, the model includes markers for key race zones:

📍 Speed Trap – official top speed measurement point
📍 OD – Overtake Detection
📍 OA – Overtake Activation

These elements reflect real race mechanics used to regulate overtaking and energy deployment during the Grand Prix.

2026 Regulation Context

The 2026 Formula 1 regulations introduce updated energy management systems, including:

Straight Mode – optimized for high-speed sections like Shanghai’s long back straight
Overtake Mode – additional power deployment for overtaking opportunities

To represent this visually, the model includes a border along straight sections of the circuit, indicating where Straight Mode would typically be used.

The OD (Overtake Detection) and OA (Overtake Activation) markers show where overtaking assistance is measured and deployed. The detection point determines if a driver is within 1 second of the car ahead, enabling activation at the designated zone.

🧱 Display Base

The model includes a display base with two fin supports that hold the circuit vertically for a clean and stable presentation.

The base also features an integrated label with event information:

🏁 CHN GP 26
📅 13-03-26 / 25-03-26
📍 Shanghai International Circuit

This gives the model the feel of a compact motorsport exhibition display.
