Description
I had to mount my Victron Easy Solar 12V horizontally in my bus
However, to be able to draw full power continuously and not be throttled by excessive heat buildup in 12V charging mode or 230V inverter mode
I designed a replacement for the original sheet metal cover that can accommodate a 120mm fan. This is to keep the temperature constant and draw warm air out of the device, thus preventing performance throttling
The temperature sensor is located on the outer left side, where the highest heat development internally occurs during 12V charging or 230V inverter operation
Either a simple or a precise controller can be used for the fans. I recommend the precise controller because it offers more options and better adjustment possibilities
For example, in my setup: The fan starts to spin at 35°C and reaches 100% at 45°C. The fan then stops spinning again when the temperature drops below 33°C
