Ultimate Bicycle Chain Hot Waxing Accesories
Tired of the mess when waxing your bike chains? This tool is designed to make the hot wax immersion process clean, efficient, and professional. Whether you are a road cyclist, a mountain biker, or an e-bike enthusiast, this helper will change your maintenance routine.
This design allows you to securely hold, dip, and hang your chain during the cleaning and waxing phases, ensuring full penetration of the wax into the rollers without burning your fingers or making a mess on your workbench.
✅ Key Features:
- Universal Compatibility: Works perfectly with Road, MTB, and E-Bike chains.
- Ergonomic Grip: Designed for a steady hand while dipping into hot paraffin or wax melts.
- Drip-Dry Position: Features a built-in hook/notch to let the excess wax drip back into the pot.
- Heat Resistant Geometry: Optimized shapes to avoid structural weakness when submerged into the wax, if you plan on using products like Silca Strip Chip (125 celsius) you need at least a PAHT filament, for only waxing ASA or ABS-GF should be enough
- Clean Workflow: Keeps your hands and workspace free from grease and wax.
- Stackable: Print more than one and its stackable, so you can keep your chains organised and waxed
- NEW: Added a container with a lid to store the craddles
🛠️ How to Use:
- Thread your clean, degreased chain onto the tool.
- Submerge the chain into your hot wax crockpot/container.
- Agitate gently to ensure the wax reaches every link.
- Lift and hang using the tool's integrated hole to let it cool and solidify.
- Once dry, break the links and install on your bike!
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: ASA, or ABS GF are highly recommended due to their higher heat deflection temperature (important when submerged into hot wax). I printed mine with PPA-CF, but ASA or ABS GF should be enough for the 90 celsius the wax needs to melt
- Infill: at least 15% (Adaptive Cubic recommended for strength).
- Walls: 4 perimeters for durability.
- Supports: Designed to print Support-Free
- Layer Height: 0.2mm for a balance of speed and strength.
DISCLAIMER
This design needs to be printed with at least ASA o ABS-GF filament, PLA, PETG will not whitstand the temperature of the molten wax, be warned!!
