FlameMount 1.0 (Edge Trim GoPro Mount)

The FlameMount 1.0 (Specifically designed for Edge Trim) uses a clamp-like attachment to attach an Insta360 or GoPro using the GoPro mounting system to the brim of a fire helmet. 

The top “clamping” screw needs an M4 nut and M4 screw. (In the photos I have used a countersunk M5 without a nut, but don't do this as it only allows it to be clamped once)

For attaching the arm and GoPro mounting hardware, use an M5 screw and nut. Please note that the standard GoPro Knob screw will not long enough to reach the nut. You can use the GoPro nut (typically black) taken from another, press it in, and use any M5 screw or bolt long enough to reach in order to secure the arm. There are plenty of M5 knobs on MakerWorld to print if you need. 

I have personally printed in Overture Super PLA+, but I suggest printing at 80% infill in a heat resistant or high temp filament if the mount will be used in high-temp environments. (I'm only using Super PLA+ at 80% infill, as it will only be used in training/cold environments) 

This mount will fit the following helmet brims:

MSA/Cairns® 360S Structural Thermoplastic Fire Helmet

MSA/Cairns® Invader 664 Composite Fire Helmet (This one I use personally)

MSA/Cairns® 660C Metro

AND MOST Cairns® Traditional Style Helmets as well as all Bullard® helmets with a suitable brim
