Rotating Beehive Entrance Reducer & Vent Disk

A simple, durable multi-position entrance disk for swarm boxes and standard beehives. This rotating design lets you quickly control hive access, ventilation, and transport security with a single part.

The disk mounts with a center screw and rotates to select between four positions:

• 1″ entrance – small opening for weak colonies or robbing control
• 1.5″ entrance with landing board – ideal for active traffic
• Mesh screen – provides ventilation while keeping bees contained
• Fully closed – secure the hive for transport or relocation

Designed originally for swarm boxes, but works great on standard hive bodies, nucs, and traps.

🧱 Print Recommendations

• Material: PETG or ASA recommended (PLA can work short-term but may warp in heat)
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Walls: 3–4 perimeters for durability
• Infill: 20–40%
• Supports: Not required
• Orientation: Flat on bed

1. Align disk with hive entrance hole
2. Install center screw (not too tight—allow rotation)
3. Rotate to desired position
