THE MODEL :

Embrace the mystery of the wild with this exquisite masquerade mask inspired by the mythological goat-man and faun. This piece merges raw animalistic power with the extreme refinement of the Baroque style. The imposing horns and sculpted features emerge from a web of organic scrollwork, creating an accessory that is both commanding and sophisticated. Perfect for a high-end masquerade ball, theatrical performance, or as a masterful display piece in a "Dark Academia" or Curiosity Cabinet setting.

Proven print settings :

  • Material : Matte Black PLA (achieves a high-end natural horn or wrought iron look).
  • Infill : 15-20% (crucial for the structural integrity of the horns).
  • Supports : Necessary for the intricate overhanging details.
  • Nozzle : 0.4 mm.

Maker's Tip : To enhance the realism, try applying a light grey or earthy patina to the horn sections and a metallic wax to the Baroque flourishes. This creates a striking contrast between raw texture and ornate elegance.

INFORMATION:

A common question is: why do these prints require supports when they could be printed lying flat?

For my designs, I deliberately choose to print them standing upright rather than flat, in order to achieve the best possible level of detail. I prioritize visual quality over saving a few grams of filament.

Of course, you are free to change the print orientation in your slicer if you prefer.
