Description
This is a cable restraint loop that attaches to the back of an astrophotography camera. It prevents a bundle of cable from flopping to one side of the telescope or the other. The cable bundle passes through the small loop without being clamped or pinched in place. This allows for the focuser to move the camera in and out without the cable bunching up in front of the camera.
The camera body needs to have a diameter of 78mm for this model to work. This diameter is used for several ZWO cameras. It might also be used by cameras from other brands. Please measure before printing. I tested this on an ASI294MC Pro.
I use a braided cable loom/sleeve to bundle the camera power and the USB cable together. This slides very easily within the loop.
This uses an M4 x 20mm bolt and nut to adjust the tension on the camera. The nut slides into a hexigon shaped hole on one side of the bracket.
I have a similar design for cameras that have a 90mm diameter.
