Thetford T2095 Freezer Door Ventilation

Practical freezer compartment open holder for the Thetford T2095 12 V compressor drawer refrigerator (90 L) with a separate 7 L freezer compartment. Prevents odors and mold by holding the freezer compartment open in a defined position and ventilating it after use.

Why this part?
The Thetford T2095 is a popular refrigerator in many panel vans/campervans. The integrated, separately switchable freezer compartment can be switched off to save energy – but then often remains closed and can lead to moisture, odor, and mold formation. This 3D-printed part holds the freezer door ajar so that the cold zone is ventilated in a controlled manner.

Print Settings

• Material: PLA, PETG or ASA recommended
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 20% (Gyroid)
• Perimeters: 3 outer walls
• Supports: Not required (designed to be printed without supports – depending on orientation)

Assembly & Use

• Print part
• Attach clip/open holder to the designated spot on the freezer compartment
• Close the freezer door – it will now be deliberately held ajar and can dry
• Can also remain attached during normal use (without freezer compartment)
• For normal refrigerator operation, simply remove the open holder again

Practical Tips

• Ideal after a longer trip, when the freezer compartment needs to be defrosted
• In combination with a slightly open main refrigerator, the entire interior can dry better
