Why this part?
The Thetford T2095 is a popular refrigerator in many panel vans/campervans. The integrated, separately switchable freezer compartment can be switched off to save energy – but then often remains closed and can lead to moisture, odor, and mold formation. This 3D-printed part holds the freezer door ajar so that the cold zone is ventilated in a controlled manner.

Features

  • Specifically designed for the Thetford T2095 drawer refrigerator
  • Precise fit on the freezer door (no drilling, no gluing, removable without residue)
  • Holds the freezer door open in a defined position, ideal for drying and ventilating after a camping trip
  • Compact design, does not interfere with normal operation

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA, PETG or ASA recommended
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 20% (Gyroid)
  • Perimeters: 3 outer walls
  • Supports: Not required (designed to be printed without supports – depending on orientation)

Assembly & Use

  • Print part
  • Attach clip/open holder to the designated spot on the freezer compartment
  • Close the freezer door – it will now be deliberately held ajar and can dry
  • Can also remain attached during normal use (without freezer compartment)
  • For normal refrigerator operation, simply remove the open holder again

Practical Tips

  • Ideal after a longer trip, when the freezer compartment needs to be defrosted
  • In combination with a slightly open main refrigerator, the entire interior can dry better

Personal use is expressly desired – please print, test, and share your experiences. If you see, wish for, or simply want to suggest improvements, please let me know.

The print itself was flawless However I will not be using it on our Thetford refrigerator as the seal is compressed too much

Thanks for your feedback. I've been using the part for a while now and it looks strange at first, but the seal recovers very quickly for me. Anyway, do you have any ideas on how to make it better? Simply looser, then it falls off too easily for me (e.g. you could solve that yourself via scaling).
