Description

A snap on cover for your Hacksmith Smithblade Pro tool that serves two purposes.

  1.  Protect your 4 bits on the side from accidentally getting knocked out and lost.
  2. Covers the glass breaker/scribing tool on the end from accidentally poking you/punching through your pants pocket.

This part is designed with VERY tight tolerances . . . on purpose.  This needs to snap/friction fit on your Smithblade.  The first time you put it on, it WILL feel tight, and you WILL need to probably put a little more force than you think to snap it on.  That's normal.  And once you do, taking it on and off the next times will feel easier.

I recommend that to install it, you slide the scribing tool end over first, press fit it on, and work your thumb down the length and finally snap it on at the pry bar end.

Yes, there is a small hole where the scribing tool can be seen.  This is on purpose as well.  This was done so that the cover does not interfere with keeping the tool straight on the long edge, so you can still use the bubble level with the cover on, and it also keeps the short end flat so that it doesn't interfere with being used as a protractor.  But rest assured, it still sticks out far enough to keep you from feeling the point of the scribe tool at all.
