This is a fully modular take on the classic infinity cube—rebuilt to be easier to print, easier to assemble, and far more customizable.

Build it your way: 2×4, 4×4, or something completely your own. You can even turn it into a 3D puzzle for friends or kids and see if they can assemble a working cube.

Some might say… this is the true infinity cube.

Each cube prints separately and connects using press-fit hinges, so you can mix colors, swap parts, and rebuild it however you want. No glue, no hardware, no supports, and no AMS required.

The full cube prints in just over an hour and assembles in seconds.  No tools or extra parts are needed.

Because the hinges are separate, you’re never stuck with a failed print or broken joint. If something wears out, just swap in a new hinge and keep going.

But the real magic is the flexibility. You’re not locked into the standard 2×4 layout—you can scale it up to a 4×4, chain multiple cubes together, or experiment with completely new builds.

You can even use it as a flush object for truly unique creations! Just add as many cubes to the build plate as necessary for your purge volume.

🛠️ Assembly - Standard Cube

Arrange cubes in a 2×4 grid using an alternating pattern:

From there, rotate cubes as needed to align hinge openings, then press-fit the hinges into place.  (See diagram for visual layout)

🚀 Why Is this the Ultimate Version?

Most infinity cubes are locked into a single layout and a single color scheme.

This one isn’t.

You can rebuild it, expand it, repair it, and customize it endlessly—without ever reprinting the whole thing. Think of the possibilities!

🛠️ Assembly - 4x4 Cube

Align two completed cubes like the below photo.  Disassemble the middle hinge and connect one section of each middle hinge to the other cube as shown in the photo:

Happy Printing!
