Beetle Monster - Agon

Agon (かぶとむし) is a rhinoceros beetle-type monster from the Japanese tokusatsu drama Kamen Ninja Akakage, controlled by the Negoro ninja Mushiyori Fūyō through an ocarina's melody. Its form can switch between a normal rhinoceros beetle and a giant combat state. It possesses a rotating frontal horn, a rear horn that fires explosive and paralyzing beams, and the ability to spew solidifying liquid. Its weakness is water.

It first appeared after Hyakumenki's death, repeatedly attacking Ninja Akakage and being repelled by clone tactics. Mushiyori Fūyō hid it in Aokage's bundle to launch a surprise attack, but was forced to retreat due to the rising tide. During a battle with Doguma, it was bitten to death, severing its legs and neck. After resurrection, it was completely destroyed by Akakage's beam. Its controller, Mushiyori Fūyō, was countered by Akakage during the struggle for ocarina control and ultimately died by an arrow from his comrade, Hyakusoku.

Agon, as Mushiyori Fūyō's core combat power, underwent a transformation from controlled to uncontrolled, participating in crucial battles throughout the plot, and ultimately vanished completely after its resurrection and second defeat. The character's battle trajectory highlights its tactical role and fated end in the story.
