1:400 USS Monitor Ironclad
Print Profile(1)

Description
USS Monitor was an ironclad warship built for the United States Navy during the American Civil War and completed in early 1862, becoming the first such ship commissioned by the Navy. Â Monitor played a central role in the Battle of Hampton Roads on 9 March under the command of Lieutenant John L. Worden, where she fought the casemate ironclad CSSÂ Virginia (built on the hull of the scuttled steam frigate USSÂ Merrimack) to a stalemate. The design of the ship was distinguished by its revolving turret, which was designed by American inventor Theodore Timby; it was quickly duplicated and established the monitor class and type of armored warship built for the American Navy over the next several decades.
Boost Me (for free)
This model I love due to the fact it can float, if you enjoy it too, consider boosting!
I love this model and i am SO proud of it! i'm most proud of the fact that it floats like the real thing! The model is devided into 2 pieces so it can be printed in multiple colors, the model also has small flags and little to no complex details. After printing, be careful with removing the supports and PLEASE take your time as the flag poles are very thin and can break easily (that happened to me) and once your done, make sure to add pictures to your review and feel free to color after printing!!! thank you so much for taking time out of your day for reading this little message <3
