Description

I designed and 3D printed these quick-adjust, toolless tire holders for the 1UP USA bike rack. They also center the tire better and keep the bike more secure. I've used them since installing the rack and they are awesome and have held up well.

 

You will need a new bolt and nut. 

  • 5/16"-18 Thread, 4-1/2" Long, Medium-Strength Grade 5 Steel Hex Head Screw Zinc-Plated, Partially Threaded
  • 5/16"-18 Thread Size, Grade 5, Zinc-Plated Medium-Strength Steel Hex Nut SAE 

 

Filament

 

  • PETG - PETG is sufficiently strong and durable for this use, although it may fade over time
  • ASA - The best material for this use. Does not fade even after years in the sun.
  • PLA, PLA+ - Do not use. Not suitable for exposure to sunlight.

 

Print Settings:

  • 0.20mm layer height
  • 4-6 wall perimeters
  • 15% infill, gyroid
