Description

This is a guide for turning tool depth to be set for Tormek grinder. This is equivalent to the gouge depth measurement part of the Tormek TTS-100 Turning Tool Setter.  The TTS-100 does more than this.  The replaces ONLY the gouge measurement part of the TTS-100. It also adds additional gouge depth measurements.

As the end of a gouge will tear up any plastics over time printing the model with a CF filament with lots of wall thickness (I use 5 layers) is useful.   PETG is generally the best all-around filament for parts requiring moderate durability against gouge/knife cuts, offering better impact resistance and toughness than PLA. For maximum durability and wear resistance against cutting, Nylon (PA) or fiber-reinforced composites (PA6-CF, PPS-CF) could be considered for durability.

I am interested in hearing back what others do for durability when it comes to knife/gouge durability.
