Silhouette – M3-Touring 24h

What kind of station wagon is that?!

🆕 Update - 1-Plate Version available!

Due to high demand, the BMW M3 Touring is now also available as a 1-plate version. Since scaling the model results in very fine lines, a 0.2mm nozzle is required

Recommended print settings (tested on X2D and stored in the print profile):

Please allow a little more time for the first layer – it is crucial for a successful print with this model

Have fun printing! 🏎️

Silhouette of an M3 Touring - inspired by the 24h race at Nürburgring
Independently modeled with great attention to detail and optimized for 3D printing

Details

  • large version: approx 76 cm, 5 print plates
  • medium version: approx 55 cm, 2 print plates
  • small one-plate version approx 32 cm
  • Multi-part, gluing required (PLA or super glue)

Printing

  • I have tested the print profile and achieved good results with it. (There's always room for improvement, of course!)
  • The print bed should be thoroughly cleaned, otherwise the fine contours will not adhere

Assembly

  • Remove brims from the print (simply peel off / break off carefully)
  • Simply align and glue together
  • Bring patience! → Unfortunately, I haven't found a better way to connect the fine lines, so I'm grateful for feedback or ideas!

Have fun with the model!
