Boost Me (for free)

If you share my wife's taste in... compost bins, and printed this model, consider giving me a boost!
They are super mega appreciated! THANK YOU!

This modern countertop compost bin combines clean aesthetics with everyday functionality. Designed for style-conscious kitchens, it features:

  • Classy design
  • No bags showing, we wanted it to look nice to keep it on our countertops
  • A self-aligning flat lid that's easy to wash
  • Compact no-waste footprint that fits neatly beside sinks or windows

Perfect for storing organic scraps like vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and eggshells, this bin is ideal for eco-friendly households that value both form and function. The model includes a removable lid and smooth interior for easy cleaning.

Whether you're staging a kitchen scene or printing a practical compost solution, this bin adds a touch of elegance to any space.

The ring has notches to allow for some play for different size bags to wrinkle on the side and for added rigidity.
The ring has notches to allow for some play for different size bags to wrinkle on the side and for added rigidity.
Resting notches are printed at a small angle not to use supports and for easy cleaning

HOW TO USE

Put the bag inside the bag ring, then roll it above and outside of it.
Put the bag+ring fully inside the container, resting on the notches. There is play and a bit of space for the bag on all sides.
When it is time to empty it, simply pull it out.

PRINT NOTES

Supports are only required for the lid plates.

I printed the lid at a 30 degree angle in my P1S without much difficulty, I am however aware that this might be advanced for some people or printers, here are a few tips!

  • Wash your plate toroughly with dawn dish soap and scalding hot water, I dont see this recommended enough, really hot water helps dispose of anything that might be left after you scrubb your plate with soap.
  • For non core-XY printers (A1 & Others) consider either of those:
    • Printing the lid laying flat, the finish will be less nice, with
    • Printing the alternative plate with no handle upside down and putting in an aftermarket handle, a little wooden handle on top of that would be super chic!
  • A1 Mini : If you shring everything in all directions, tolerances should be pretty good, maybe the ring should be shrunk a bit more than the rest. Feel free to upload as a print profile with real images if you do!
