Description

This design approach has been replaced by a serviceablity approach see;

https://forum.bambulab.com/t/h2-series-serviceability-upgrades-modifications/252300

Prototype, not yet installed. So this is experimental.

The H2D brass lead screw nuts are wearing out. Bambu Wiki instructions to replace the nuts is a “PIA”, too much work. This is an option.

This design allows the nuts to be changed without flipping the printer and removing the lead screws

Might be possible to tie rap the existing brass nut right above the bottom of the lead screw (See picture of a tie rap).

I never move the heated bed that low.

Should be printed in Nylon or iglide® I190-PF (not ABS), 99 walls. If you use Iglide I190-PF then the lead screws don't require lubrication.

Bolt the two halves of the lead screw nut together with 2ea M2.5 x 10mm socket head screws (The screws with cut their own threads)

You will need to perform Bambu Wiki heated bed tramming after changing out the nuts. Should print a H2D dial indicator holder to aid in the tramming. This mod is for experienced users only.

I will write detailed instructions after using these for awhile.
