Description

Designed a simple and effective clip-style lock for a sliding shower door that keeps it securely closed by engaging into the rail.

This part solves a common issue where shower doors don’t stay shut properly due to worn-out or missing original retainers. The clip snaps into position and provides just enough resistance to hold the door closed without making it hard to open.

The model is compact, easy to print, and can be adapted to different rail sizes if needed.

 Features

 • Clean and minimal design

 • Friction-based locking (no springs or moving parts)

 • Easy installation (uses existing screw point)

 • Customizable dimensions

 • Works with standard shower rail systems

 Print Settings

 • Material: ABS / PETG recommended (humidity & temperature resistance)

 • Layer height: 0.2 mm

 • Infill: 30–50%

 • Walls: 3–4 perimeters

 • Orientation: flat (as modeled)

 • Supports: not required

 Notes

 • Dimensions may need slight adjustment depending on your rail profile

 • For best durability in bathroom conditions, avoid PLA

 • If friction is too strong/weak, tweak the contact geometry slightly

Use Case

Ideal for:

 • Replacing broken/missing shower door clips

 • Improving door sealing

 • DIY bathroom fixes without buying full hardware kits

Installation

Mount using the existing screw point and align with the rail so that the clip engages when the door is closed.
