Description

🐶 Large Heavy Duty Auto-Fill Dog Bowl (P1S Optimized)

Designed for durability, stability, and everyday use, this large auto-filling dog bowl is perfect for keeping your pet hydrated without constant refilling. Built to be heavy-duty (over 1 lb of material), it stays put—even with bigger, more energetic dogs.

🔹 Key Features:

✔ Large Capacity Design – 9" wide provides plenty of drinking area
✔ Auto-Fill Design – Designed to hold a standard water bottle opening (like a typical disposable water bottle)
✔ Non-Threaded Adapter – Accepts multiple types of refill containers without needing specific threads
✔ Versatile Use – Works with various bottle styles for easy refilling
✔ Heavy Duty Build – Uses over 1 lb of filament for added weight & stability
✔ Tip-Resistant – Wide base helps prevent sliding and spills
✔ Clean, Simple Design – Easy to print and easy to use

📏 Dimensions:

  • Diameter: 9 inches
  • Height: 3.5 inches

🧵 Print Information:

  • Printer: Optimized for Bambu Lab P1S
  • File has been tuned to print slightly slower for better layer adhesion
  • Adjusted settings help improve water resistance / reduced porosity

🔧 Recommended Settings:

  • Material: PETG (recommended for water resistance & durability)
  • Infill: 10–15% (Gyroid or Grid)
  • Walls: 4+ perimeters
  • Top/Bottom: 5–7 layers

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • PETG is strongly recommended over PLA for long-term water use
  • While the file is optimized for better sealing, 3D prints are not 100% waterproof by default
  • For best results, consider:
    • Increasing wall count
    • Using higher flow/top layers
    • Or applying a food-safe sealant if needed

💡 Why This Design?

Most bowls fail because they’re too light or require specific bottle types. This design focuses on:

  • Weight for stability
  • Print tuning for leak reduction
  • Flexible compatibility with multiple refill containers (no threading required)
