Our Father Cross (Cross)
Print Profile(1)

Description
👋 Hello, MakerWorld community!
A while ago I shared with you my Our Father cross in Portuguese and also the English version, and the community's response filled my heart with joy and gratitude. 🙏 Today I come to share something very special: the Spanish version of the Our Father!
As Spanish is also not my native language — I am Brazilian and my mother tongue is Portuguese — I apologize in advance if I have made any mistakes in the prayer text. I am completely open to corrections: if any brother or sister detects something that needs to be adjusted, please let me know and I will gladly correct it! 😊
✏️ The design process
The process was exactly the same as I used in previous versions: I draw each letter as a vector in CorelDRAW, adjusting the spacing, curves, and structure word by word — always with a "2D" vision of the final object. Then I export the SVG and begin assembling the model piece by piece, giving each letter a different height (5mm, 6mm or 7mm) and adjusting until the final work is achieved.
It is a slow, careful, and deeply personal process — but I do it with much patience and love. ❤️
📐 Dimensions
This Spanish version has slightly different measurements than the other crosses:
- Cross: 150mm wide × 236.6mm high
- Letter height: varying between 5, 6 and 7mm for depth and readability
- Base peg: 70 × 7 × 7mm (the same size as all my bases — they fit into the same pedestal! ✅)
📦 Print settings
- Cross: 15% gyroid infill
- Base: 5% grid infill
- Layer height: 0.12mm
- Supports: No supports needed ✅
- AMS / Multicolor: Not needed — single filament 🎨
🛏️ Bed and first layer tips
For best results, I recommend:
- Cool Plate — works very well for this model and gives a clean finish on the base
- First layer speed: reduce to ~25mm/s for better adhesion
- First layer height: 0.15–0.20mm (a little thicker than the rest helps it stick well to the build plate)
- Build plate temperature: follow your filament's specifications, but a bit more heat on the first layer helps — e.g., 40°C for PLA on Cool Plate
- Brim: I recommend adding a 5–8mm brim, especially for the cross, as the lettering creates very fine contact points with the build plate
- No glue needed if you use a well-calibrated Cool Plate — but a wipe with IPA before printing always helps! 🧹
🙅 About ironing: personally, I don't like the results ironing produces on this particular piece — I feel it removes texture and character from the lettering art. That's why I didn't include it in the print profile. But it's purely a matter of personal taste — other makers may have a different opinion and get great results with it! 😊
⚠️ The cross has many fine contact points with the build plate due to the letters — take your time with first layer calibration. A well-adjusted z-offset makes all the difference here!
🔄 Size options and build plate tips
- Print at 95% scale → 2 crosses fit in a single print, and up to 4 bases at a time
- Diagonal print tip: on a 256mm build plate (A1, P1), you can print the full-size cross diagonally up to 270.4mm × 180mm — it also looks very nice! 🌟
⚠️ I need the community's help!
I want to be transparent with everyone: as Spanish is not my native language, I have not yet received requests to print this version and do full physical tests. I rely on the extensive experience I gained printing the Portuguese models — several of them. That's why I'm publishing the 3D file now, but I don't have real photos of the printed piece yet.
As soon as I have them, I will update the post with images. In the meantime, I would love your help! 🙌
If you print this model, please:
- 📸 Share your photos here so others can see the results
- 💬 Give me your feedback on print quality, adjustments, and difficulties
- 💡 Share your tips — I'm still relatively new to this community and very eager to learn and grow!
🎨 About the initials on the base
As in all my models, my personal initials are present on the base — but don't worry, it's just a visual suggestion and they are easily removable for those who prefer a more neutral version.

My goal with this project is simple: to grow together with this incredible community — and, above all, to spread the Word of God throughout the world. 🌍✝️
Thank you for the support, likes, comments, and makes on previous versions! Each one means a lot to me. I hope this Spanish version reaches even more hearts.
A big hug to everyone and God bless you! 🙏
Amen. ✨
