🔧 V2 – Single Tray Dark Water Bait Boat + Line Release
Carp Team Carpfishing Dark Water Bait Boat

🚀 This V2 brings several improvements following numerous real-world tests! Version 1 is still available on MakerWorld (I simply hid it to highlight the more refined V2). If you'd prefer me to leave it visible, let me know in the comments! 😊 And feel free to leave feedback, a like, or your impressions if you like the model, it's incredibly motivating!

✅ 1. Single compartment tray design (improved, PETG recommended) I replaced the original two-tray system with a larger, centralized single tray. Advantages:

  • Larger and better positioned opening
  • More precise and concentrated baiting
  • Ultra-simplified handling

Major highlight of V2: PETG recommendation! → PLA deforms over time (sun, heat, humidity, impacts
) and loses rigidity. The tray remains functional, but for maximum outdoor durability, print it in PETG (or PETG-CF if you want the best). The model is optimized for this!

👉 For assembling the line release system, you will need:

  • 1 M7 screw
  • 1 M7 nut. These parts ensure a solid and durable attachment of the mechanism to the tray.

🎯 2. Improved line release system (V2) Designed to hold your rig during navigation. Upon tray opening → automatic and precise release of the rig exactly at the baiting spot.

V2 New Features:

  • Two small slots added to the line release → you can easily clip two rigs in the same spot (ideal for fishing with two rods in the same place without hassle). Both slots are positioned at the same level for a neat and symmetrical hold.
  • Thickness reinforcement significantly increased around the screw + nut area → much less risk of breakage or cracking over time, even after many casts / intensive uses.

đŸ”© Final tip for perfect assembly:

  • Cut a piece of Ø4 mm threaded rod (or iron rod) to the correct length
  • Glue it into the designated slot (it acts as an axle/guide for the mechanism)

Smooth, reliable assembly, truly suited for carp fishing with a bait boat.

Thanks to everyone who prints and tests! 🎣 Your feedback / photos / videos of real-world use are welcome in the comments.

Happy printing and good carp fishing! đŸ’Ș🐟
