Bill of Materials

Description
This is a hybrid case for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra using a TPU shell and a solid PETG back panel.
The idea is simple: soft outer case for grip and shock absorption, with a rigid backplate for structure, protection, and optional MagSafe use.
Boost Me (for free)
This case cost me a small graveyard of TPU to get right. Boosts help honour their sacrifice.
How it works:
The PETG back panel sits directly against the phone, and the TPU case fits over the top. The raised camera section from the backplate passes through the TPU layer, giving the cameras a solid protective barrier.
TPU Case:
- Full coverage with cut-outs for speakers, ports, and mics
- Buttons are covered but still easy to press
- SIM slot is covered
- Designed around TPU 95A HF for best fit and flexibility
Back Panel (PETG):
- Flat, rigid plate with raised camera protection
- Swappable depending on your setup. Includes 4 variations:
- Standard MagSafe
- Standard Magsafe with TPU lining
- Non-MagSafe
- Non-MagSafe with TPU lining
- The TPU-lined versions just add a bit of extra protection to avoid scratching the phone.
MagSafe version:
- Built-in slot for a magnet ring (not included)
- Fits 0.4 mm thick magnets
- Outer diameter: 59 mm
- Inner diameter: 43 mm
Assembly:
- Remove all supports
- If desired stick your ring magent into the slot on the back panel
- Place the back panel into place within the TPU case
- Stretch the case over the phone
Inspiration:
This was designed from scratch, but the overall idea was inspired by another hybrid TPU + backplate case, so credit to the original creator for that.
One of my main goals was adding a MagSafe option, which didn’t seem to exist when I started (of course they showed up right after). The main difference here is a more thought-out camera protection design.
At the end of the day, it’s a phone case. There are only so many ways to wrap a rectangle without starting a new branch of geometry.
Disclaimer:
This design is provided as-is with no guarantees of protection. I’m unable to test its effectiveness, as I only have one phone and can’t risk damaging it, so I accept no responsibility for any damage. For reliable protection, consider a professionally made, well-tested phone case from a reputable manufacturer.
